Intro: Game Theme

It is not very often that we see two developers cooperate. Most software providers prefer to keep their ideas to themselves, or license them to rivals. Yet, here we have Slingo and Eyecon cooperating to make the unique slot/bingo combination for Fluffy Favourites. The game was incredibly popular, and draws a lot of player attention to this day. It is no surprise to us that it was selected to be the release the developers collaborated on. Instead of granting direct cash payouts, getting enough winning lines activates a variety of bonuses!

We like Slingo’s graphics, but it is clear they went the extra mile here. For one, we can see the carnival in the background is fully animated. The Ferris wheel is spinning, and the little pink elephant is happily dancing along to the music. If visual fidelity is something important to you, then you will adore Slingo Fluffy Favourites.

Short Summary

How it Works

You start each round on a 5×5 grid, where each grid has a single number on it. What number appears on which position is chosen randomly, from a selection from 1-80. Players can choose how much they wager on each spin by clicking the plus and minus buttons in the bottom left corner of the screen. This allows players to wager between £0.20 and £25 per ten spins, which we find to be an acceptable betting range. You can spend more than that per round by playing the optional extra spins, available after you play ten rounds.

After you complete the setup, you can start the fun by pressing the big Spin button. This starts the round, and draws five numbers or special symbols in the reel found beneath the playing field. If a number in the reel matches a number on the grid, that number is marked with a star. Each star highlights a ‘won’ number. Your goal is to draw enough numbers to form a line of stars. You need more than four lines in one round to win.

Bonus Rounds

Toybox Pick allows you to choose one of the fluffy toys to take home. Each toy has a cash prize hidden within, which is your prize for activating this bonus. To win it, you need five winning lines.

Six winning lines triggers the Coin Pusher bonus. Here, you drop two coins in exchange for cash prizes.

Hook-a-fluffy special feature becomes available after getting seven completed lines. Choose three toys from a total of five to win the cash prize.

Eight lines activates the Super Toybox Pick. It functions identically to its lower-value version, except now you can pick four toys to reveal the prizes within.

Nine lines triggers Super Coin Pusher. Instead of dropping two coins in exchange for prizes, you now drop five of them.

Super Hook-a-fluffy allows us to choose between five toys, and all win values are 2x. To activate this bonus, you need ten completed lines.

Finally, a full house win unlocks the Mega Toybox special feature. You get to pick all five toys, and all win values are 5x.

If you come across a Joker in the reel beneath the playing field, it can substitute for one number in the column above. You get to choose what number is marked with a star. Super Jokers can also appear, and allow you to mark any number on the grid with a star.

Bad luck will have you run into the Devil icon. It serves as a blocking symbol, and prevents you from landing any win in that row. It is incredibly frustrating to deal with!

Similar to Super Jokers, we have Nellie icons. They are Wild, and allow us to mark any number on the grid with a star. Getting three, four or five Nellies grants five, seven or ten free balls.

However, if you do not get enough winning lines or free balls, you have the option of playing extra spins. These are extra wagers that you can play by paying money with each spin. How much you have to pay per bet depends on how close you are to winning. Be careful, as extra spins can cost you more than your initial wager!

Verdict

When we first came across this title, we were not sure what we would find. However, the developers have done an outstanding job here. They combined Slingo’s winning gameplay with impressive visuals and a theme many players remember fondly. The medium-high variance and 2500x jackpot are also great ways to incentivise people to play. If you enjoyed titles like Slingo Centurion and Slingo Carnival, we recommend playing this release.
